How can we improve ourselves?

Welcome ladies to my new blog. I just had a brainstorm one evening to create a blog. Now that I am 40 I have been trying to do some soul searching. What is really important to me and what do I want out of life at this age. Is it at this moment when you realize there is so much out there that you never had the courage before to reach for.
